Secret NYC Partners with The Other Art Fair to Spotlight Independent Creatives and Cultivate a Cultural Moment in Brooklyn
Over 9000 attendees gathered at ZeroSpace for the 15th edition of The Other Art Fair Brooklyn, presented by Saatchi Art.
New York, NY (May 2025) — Secret NYC, a leading local platform for cultural discovery in New York City, partnered with The Other Art Fair presented by Saatchi Art this past weekend to deliver a uniquely immersive experience that celebrated independent creativity, local talent, and community.
Held at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the multi-day event brought together emerging artists, cultural tastemakers, and everyday New Yorkers in a shared space designed to amplify grassroots voices and connect audiences with the city's vibrant creative scene.
At the heart of the activation was a commitment to showcasing emerging, independent artists. Through on-site interviews, community engagement, and real-time storytelling, Secret NYC created space for artists to share not only their work—but the stories, challenges, and hustle behind it.
“This collaboration was about more than art—it was about cultural connection,” said the brand team at Secret NYC. “We aimed to shine a light on the voices shaping the future of creativity in NYC—those often working just beyond the usual art circuit.”
Secret NYC’s interactive booth, developed in collaboration with illustrator Andrea Caceres, became a standout installation at the fair. Visitors lined up for limited-edition prints and totes, while the space itself transformed into an environment for discovery, photography, and authentic connection.
The partnership also included a Secret NYC-curated Friday Late experience, headlined by DJ GabSoul, which drew an energetic, diverse crowd of creatives, neighbors, and culture lovers. The evening featured immersive visuals, dynamic soundscapes, and a celebration of New York’s community spirit.
Complementing the physical space was the Secret Club phone activation, where visitors were invited to leave anonymous love letters to the city—resulting in a raw, heartfelt archive of what NYC means to the people who live, create, and dream in it.
To continue the experience beyond the venue, Secret NYC launched a hyperlocal guide that encouraged guests to explore nearby independent businesses, artist-run spaces, and neighborhood staples—extending the fair’s impact into the streets of Brooklyn.
